Returns and Refund Policy

Defective/Damaged Item Policy

If your item arrives damaged or defective, please notify us at within 7 days of receiving your package for a refund or replacement. Please include a picture or quick video of the damage.

Most common issues

  • Scratches or scuffs that cause your needle to skip

  • Excessive noise, whooshes, or pops

  • Significant warpage

  • Locked grooves that prevent the needle from advancing beyond a certain point

  • Cracked Vinyl or broken cassettes

  • Seam splits (on the jackets or internal sleeves)

  • Dinged or bent corners

  • Miscellaneous print defects and other imperfections


Upon receiving the picture or video proof, we will send you a pre-paid label for the item to be returned. Item must be sent back within 15 days of receiving the label.


Media Return Policy

To return media (i.e. records, cassettes, cd’s, movies, video games) for any reason other than damage, including items purchased by mistake, notify us within 7 days of receiving it at

Item must be sent back to us unopened and in its original packaging within 15 days of receiving it. No returns are accepted if the factory seal and/or wrapping is broken. Return shipping will be the responsibility of the consumer.


**Please Note** We do not cover shipping on non-damaged returns.


Merchandise Return & Exchange Policy

Unfortunately, we do not accept returns on merchandise that has been personally worn, used, washed or augmented. If an item of merchandise is defective or does not fit upon receipt, notify us within 7 days of receiving the item at and send back to us within 15 days or we will be unable to accept it.

If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, the merchandise is unopened, and it is within 15 days of order receipt we will happily exchange it for you or accept return for a full refund. Original shipping and handling charges are not refundable. You will be responsible for all costs associated with return shipment. No COD returns will be accepted. Please note that processing returns and refunds may take up to 30 days.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Insurance / theft and loss
Uncle Joes Records will not responsible for items that are lost or stolen in transit or for items lost or stolen once delivered by any carrier. It is the responsibility of the party ordering to provide a safe and secure location for any and all items to be delivered to safeguard against these risks. If you have any concerns about potential theft, loss, or damage in transit as described above you must contact us prior to your order being shipped to add insurance. This can be done but will be at the customer's expense.
